Get to Know Dr. Tracy E. Poole
For more than 30 years, Dr. Tracy E. Poole has been dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while building lasting relationships with generations of families in the Toledo area. As the owner of Dental Group West, she believes dentistry is about much more than treating teeth—it's about creating trust, improving quality of life, and making every patient feel comfortable and cared for. Nothing is more rewarding to her than seeing her patients smile and watching those relationships grow over the years.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Poole was drawn to dentistry because it gave her the opportunity to combine science, artistry, and compassion in a way that truly changes lives. She enjoys helping patients improve both their oral health and their confidence while creating meaningful, long-lasting relationships with the families she serves.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Poole earned both her undergraduate degree and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University, where she completed an accelerated doctoral program. Following dental school, she pursued additional training through optional externships in oral surgery at the Medical College of Virginia and pediatric dentistry at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. She also earned certification in conscious sedation through Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Throughout her career, Dr. Poole has remained passionate about continuing education. She has completed advanced training through the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and Occlusion Connections, with a special interest in neuromuscular dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, occlusion, and temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD). Her commitment to lifelong learning allows her to provide patients with modern, comprehensive dental care tailored to their individual needs.
Dr. Poole is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Toledo Dental Society. She has served as a board member of the Toledo Dental Society, currently serves as a Delegate to the Ohio Dental Association House of Delegates, and is a member of the Ohio Dental Association's Council on Membership Services and Ethics Subcommittee. She has also volunteered with the Give Kids A Smile program, helping provide dental care to children in need throughout Northwest Ohio.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When she isn't caring for patients, Dr. Poole enjoys traveling, golfing, reading, and spending time with her family. She and her husband have been married for more than 30 years and have three grown children who now live outside the Toledo area, making family visits especially meaningful.
A lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Dr. Poole even had the opportunity to serve as the Ohio State football team's dentist during the 1994–95 season. Whether she's cheering on the Buckeyes, enjoying time with loved ones, or helping patients smile with confidence, Dr. Poole brings the same passion and dedication to everything she does.
