Northwest Ohio Dental Assisting School

Thank you for your interest in the Northwest Ohio Dental Assisting School. If you would like to pursue training as a dental assistant without giving up your current job, and if you want to receive a top notch education in a reasonable length of time, then you’ve come to the right place. We try to be sensitive to the needs of our students who must work while going to school, but still want to receive the very best training, and all at an affordable cost. The mission of the Northwest Ohio Dental Assisting School is to offer our students an education in dental assisting using the tools of both lecture and hands-on training. We want to introduce you to a profession you can be proud to work in, versus simply having a job. You will actually train in a beautiful, working, state-of-the-art dental office.

We have deliberately chosen the finest staff for our school. Our director and all of the instructors are working assistants with years of experience. Our director and many of the instructors have achieved the highest level of training possible in the profession, that of an “advanced qualified” dental assistant capable of placing restorations in teeth for the dentist. Northwest Ohio Dental Assisting School is a private, co-educational program registered and approved by the State of Ohio Board of Career Colleges and Schools. Our course of study runs for 11 consecutive weeks on class days from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Admission Requirements
Any person who has earned a high school diploma or a G.E.D. high school equivalency certificate is eligible to attend NWODAS. All applicants must exhibit a willingness and enthusiasm to learn the art and science of dental assisting. A high school senior may take our course of study on the condition that he/she has an overall grade point average of B. Credit may be granted, subject to the director’s approval, for previous education or training. Admissions to NWODAS are conducted throughout the year. Those applicants who apply during the course of class training will be given *first consideration for enrollment in the next class. (*$100 registration fee and signed enrollment contract required).

Program Cost
Tuition is due and payable in advance. However, students may elect to arrange for monthly payments while attending school. Extended payment plans may be considered through private bank financing, based upon the applicant’s personal credit position. The cost of the Dental Assisting program is: *$2500 (see below). This tuition does not include the registration fee of $100, the application and the examination fee for dental assistant radiographer licensure, the hepatitis B immunizations, or uniform expense. *The total cost may be paid using the following two options:

  1. $2600 in full on or before the 1st day of class. Total cost with registration $2600
  2. $1000 down payment on or before the 1st day of class with the balance to be paid by week six. Total cost with registration $2600.

Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. Note: $44 charge per returned check. Tuition and other school fees will be on a cash only basis after occurrence of a returned check.
